Q.What are The Shipping Fees?
A.If you order 1 or 2 pipes, you have 2 options:
1.Express Shipping: You can get your pipes in 3-5 days after they have been sent. Shipping is $32 if you select this option.
2. Registered Shipping: You can get your pipes in 1-2 weeks after they have been sent. Shipping Fee is $8 if you select this option.
If you order 3 or more pipes, you will get one GIFT pipe + FREE Registered Shipping.
Select the proper shipping option when you put your order.
Q.What is the difference between Express and Registered Shipping?
A.You can track your order from Internet if you prefer Express Shipping. It is fast. You can get your pipes in 1-2 weeks after you put your order.
Registered Shipping is also safe, but it is slower. You cannot track your order from Internet. Usually you can get your pipes in 2-3 weeks after you put your order.
Q.Are your meerschaum pipes made of real block meerschaum?
A.Yes, All our pipes are made from real block meerschaum. We give your pipe and another pipe for FREE if you prove that our meerschaum is not real block meerschaum.
Q.How can I order?
A.Visit the catalog pages and click the link "Buy Now" near the pipe which you want to buy. You will see your shopping cart. Then come back to catalog pages and select the pipes you want to buy. Click the link "Check out/Save and Check out" to finish your shopping. Enter your credit card information. You will get an automated e-mail message after you placed your order.
Q.Will the pipes broken during the transport?
A.No, we send the pipes in their fitted cases and inside the air cushions.
Q.What about if I order a wrong pipe?
A.Just send an e-mail to "pipes@aznavur.com" We will correct your orders.
Q.What about if I change my mind and want to return the pipe?
A.There is 60 day money back warranty. No question asked. You have to return the pipe as "unused".But shipping fee is nonrefundable.
Q.Which meerschaum blocks do you use?
A.We use the famous Eskisehir (Turkey) block meerschaum. Our carvers are located in Eskisehir where we buy the meerschaum blocks directly from the meerschaum miners.
Q.Tell me more about your meerschaum pipes.
A.Meerschaum is a mineral (magnesium silicate). It's name is from the German word meaning sea-foam, which it is said to resemble. Only the purist meerschaum, mined in a small area in Turkey, is suitable for making pipes. It is a very permeable material, and darkens with use. The color changes shades of pink, yellow, brown, reddish brown and eventually black. Pipes made from this mineral have a cool, airy smoking character. When first mined, meerschaum is like hard cheese or soft clay. While it is still soft, it can easily be carved into busts, figures, and intricate patterns. After carving, the piece is cured and allowed to dry. It is then dipped in wax to finish.
Q.How will I care my pipe?
A.Don't be afraid to hold and handle your Meerschaum pipe. It is a pleasure smoking your pipe and watching it changing color. Unlike Briar pipes which must be dried after each smoke, meerschaum pipes can be smoked many times a day because of its absorbing qualities. If your pipe becomes dirty or soiled, allow the pipe is cool and use cotton or a soft cloth with just a drop of after shave lotion or similar product containing a slight trace of clear alcohol and gently wipe it clean. Never boil or scrape your pipe.
